There has been a lot of information that is appearing in the newspapers regarding my entry into politics. It is true that I am thinking and discussing about this subject for a while. My fans are the main reason for my growth, and they are very affectionate to me. Totally there are 37,000 associations around the country, and my fans are involved in social service activities very actively. My fans put forth the suggestion that, we should convert the associations in to a political organisation so that we can function better. I was also thinking that I must reciprocate to my fans for their hard work. In the same manner, every family in Tamil Nadu considers me as their family member, so it is natural that I feel, I must do some thing worthwhile for them. So I decided that entering politics would be the best option.
In that connection, I wanted to get the opinion about the public as well. We had meetings with professionals, educated youth and women in Chennai and other cities, and I had taken their views. I will announce my final decision on this matter at appropriate time. |
